Following their last video to promote the soundtrack for the new Haruhi Suzumiya movie, Lantis has today posted a music video promoting the main theme song that will be used in the movie. The song, named “Yasashii Bokyaku” (Kindly Forget) is sang by Minori Chihara, who is the Japanese Seiyuu for Yuki Nagato. The gentle and somewhat sad tune comes off as a fitting melody for the events of ‘Disappearance’ from Yuki’s point of view. There are less than 10 days now until the movie premiers in Japan.

I dug these out from Youtube on a hunch that at least one those tech-savvy L.A. Haruhi fans would upload something. If anyone else has videos and photos to share from the Jan 25th event, just let us know.

According to a new video posted at Bandai Entertainment’s ASOS Brigade website, it appears the North American license rights to the second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya have been signed. American voice actress Cristina Vee appears in the video singing the English version of season 2 OP Super Driver (originally sang by Aya Hirano) in a not so subtle hint that she will play a voice role in the English DVDs.  The producer in the video mentions that he will need to shoot a new series of promotional …

Looking back, it’s amazing how popular the original Haruhi opening ‘Bouken Desho Desho?’ was just by comparing the sheer number of parody videos. Talk about Japanese otaku devotion, this guy, dressed up as Jason no less, uses chainsaws to sculpt a wooden version of this Churuya-san and even makes some smoked cheese to celebrate lol. Jason-san hasn’t done full wooden sculptures of other Haruhi Suzumiya characters yet, but you can check out his other anime themed creations on his youtube channel, make sure to check out his Mio Akiyama sculpture video.
