The Japanese publisher Kadokawa Shoten ran an advertisement in Thursday&#8217;s edition of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun paper to say that The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya light novel has sold over one million copies. According to Kadokawa, Nagaru Tanigawa&#8217;s first Haruhi Suzumiya novel is the first light novel to reach this milestone. The advertisement does not specify if the number is for Japan only or worldwide.

		<description><![CDATA[As most have already known, the tenth novel of the Haruhi Suzumiya series was officially launched in Japan last week on May 25th.  The new book is split into two volumes, and the initial release of the collector&#8217;s edition also came with a 64-page booklet containing a bonus story by Nagaru Tanigawa and art by Noizi Ito.

		<description><![CDATA[Earlier this month, Aya Hirano announced on her Twitter page that she is prohibited from taking on new roles in new anime titles. Aya did not elaborate on who gave her such orders or for what reason, but did say she can continue to work in anime series she is currently casted in and that have second seasons or extended runs.  Aya has announced in the past that she is comtemplating diverging from her seiyuu career to pursue interests in her music and modeling career.
