Kadokawa recently posted on its youtube channel Aya Hirano and Minori Chihara’s top three favorite scenes from the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Movie. The Japanese publisher Kadokawa Shoten ran an advertisement in Thursday’s edition of the Nihon Keizai Shimbun paper to say that The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya light novel has sold over one million copies. According to Kadokawa, Nagaru Tanigawa’s first Haruhi Suzumiya novel is the first light novel to reach this milestone. The advertisement does not specify if the number is for Japan only or worldwide.
