This is the second volume of the Haruhi Suzumiya light novels. It’s a shame that they did not release the translated versions of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya light novels along with the anime DVDs in North America (EDIT: Haruhi Suzumiya light novels are available in English as of 2009) . The author of the series, Nagaru Tanigawa , is a great writer and deserves to have his work available to fans of Haruhi who unfortunately don’t know Japanese.
