Season 2 of Haruhi Suzumiya is now well behind us; It was a good run, with the exception of a certain eight episodes. The video is a bit old now, but worth sharing here. The CPDRC is a maximum security prison in Cebu, in the Cebu Province of the Philippines. The chief warden there conceived the idea of group dancing exercises as an enjoyable way of keeping the prisoners mentally and physically fit. The Hare Hare Yukai dance is but one of many dances the inmates have performed.

I guess this is a second parter to the Kyonko post. Although not as popular as Kyonko, you can’t have a female Kyon without a male Haruhi. Some people have taken to calling the male Suzumiya-san as Haruki, others go by Haruhiko. If you think about it, Haruhi’s tomboyish characteristics transfer pretty well into an aggressive but quirky male character. Give Kyonko a tsundere personality and you have the prefect pairing. They can probably make an entire new show out of this and fans will love it. …
