With this episode ends the Endless Eight run at 15,532 loops. There isn’t anything new here until you hit about the last five minutes. Kyon is finally able to take action before Haruhi leaves the restaurant on the last day of summer vacation. He suggests that everyone come to his house to finish their summer homework. It was nice to see Haruhi get flustered for once because she wasn’t the one who came up with the idea, but she comes anyways. Kyon wakes up the next day to …

It’s loop no. 15527 my friends and we’re still stuck with the same story albeit with minor differences. I’m gonna stick with only one screenshot this time around, it’s probably the most important scene in the episode anyway. The silver lining is that it’s rumored that next episode, the eighth ‘loop’, will conclude this Endless Eight debacle. If you haven’t been watching these episodes so far, then save yourself the trouble and watch only episode 17 (that’s the second ep of season 2) and the next episode.

And we’re at it again with the endless summer loop, and this episode in particular seems to have only the slightest differences from the episodes before it. I was kind of expecting Kyon’s deja vu feeling would be getting stronger progressively with each episode, but it doesn’t feel he’s making any progress at all. The ending to this episode is exactly the same as the last three, or was it four, who knows. If you’re a loyal Haruhi but feeling a bit frustrated by the lack of progress in …

Welcome to loop #15521 plus or minus a couple hundred iterations.  But for us fans, it will be the fifth time. I never thought I’d say this, but I’m getting bored watching this now.  If there was only some progress every episode, but the same inaction happens everytime and the loop repeats again.  I really hope that these ‘Endless Eight’ episodes don’t actually repeat for eight episodes.  Season 2 only has 14 episodes and we’re spending 8 of them on this, no way!

The previous time loop continues for the 15,521st …

Hmm, well I think we get the point now. It’s a infinite time loop and everyone is helpless to live through the same events over and over again, whether they retain their memories or not; reminds me of that movie, Groundhog Day. But enough is enough, we’re on the fourth repetition now and neither Kyon not anyone else has made any progress. And judging from future episode titles on ANN, the ride’s not over yet.

The previous time loop continues for the 15,513th time. This time, Kyon mentally …

This has got to be a first. Three episodes with the same title and pretty much the same story with some slight differences. Looks like Kyon and friends still can’t figure out how to break out of the loop, but assume there must be something Haruhi must be regretting having not done during summer break.

Synopsis: The same exact events in the previous episode once again unfold with slight variations and the gang wearing different clothes. Once again the Brigade, with the exception of Haruhi, finds out that they are …
