Just a heads up to all those who are lucky enough to be attending the 2010 Comic-Con in San Diego this year.  As announced by the ASOS Brigade on their facebook page, there will be a Haruhi Season 2 English Convention Premiere on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the Con (that’s July 22-24) and it will take place at 5pm each day at the Marriott Hall: Room 5. As part of a “The Summer of Haruhi Suzumiya” cooperative promotion between Bandai Entertainment, Crunchyroll, and Yen Press, a one-night-only screening of the Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya movie (English subtitles) will be shown on June 24th at the Laemmle’s Sunset 5 theater in Hollywood, L.A.
Haruhi series English Voice actress Stephanie Sheh (Mikuru) will appear with more cast to be announced as they confirm availability. Stephanie will be autographing the theatrical poster from the film which will be given away to attending theatre goers.

Good news Haruhi fans, on Friday this week Crunchyroll began streaming the first four episodes from the first season of the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi.  Crunchyroll has recently acquired the rights to the show from Kadokawa Pictures and plans to stream all of the episodes from season 1, with season 2 coming not far down the road.  But wait, it gets better. Crunchyroll also has plans to be streaming the Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya and Nyoro~n Churuya-san series as well. Well, it was only a matter of time. A camrip version of the Haruhi Suzumiya movie only became available about a week ago, but there’s already have a subbed version out. You can thank the guys at Mazui Fansubs for getting one out so quickly. The video quality is still bad but Mazui did a good job of cleaning it up and now at least you can understand the dialogue. For those who just can’t wait for the official DVDs, torrent link is here.

The ASOS Brigade website has released some new video regarding information on the English release of Haruhi Suzumiya season 2 DVDs. In the latest video, it states that the original cast from season 1 will be returning for the dub of season 2. Also, Endless Eight will be dubbed, but it will stay true to the original Japanese, as there will be subtle differences in performances.
