Nagaru Tanigawa

Nagaru-TanigawaNagaru Tanigawa is the author of the Haruhi Suzumiya series of light novels. He was born on December 19, 1970 and is a graduate of Kwansei Gakuin University law school. The first novel volume of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was published on June 6, 2003 by Kadokawa Shoten. It gained notable attention when it won the grand prize at the eighth annual Sneaker Awards. Tanigawa has worked on other light novels over the years, but many have been on hiatus.

Tanigawa is also currently working on a manga called Kagerou Meikyu which has a few similar character archetypes to the Haruhi Suzumiya series.
