The website originally started in 2008 after a small group of Haruhi fans decided that, despite the immense popularity of Haruhi Suzumiya, there was a severe lack of quality fan sites for our anime idol. To correct the heinous crime, haruhisuzumiya.net was founded.  The website is updated and maintained by webmaster Kyon, though news and articles can be contributed by any visitor.

A little background on Haruhi Suzumiya: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is the creation of Japanese author Nagaru Tanigawa. The first light novel was published in 2003 and quickly drew a loyal fan following. It wasn’t until 2006, when Haruhi Suzumiya was made into an anime, that the popularity of the series exploded.
