The Mahjong of Suzumiya Haruhi-chan

Hey PSP fans, if you thought that “The Reminiscence of Haruhi Suzumiya” was going to be it for Haruhi games this year, think again. Kadokawa Games, best known for publishing anime-based games, will be releasing a Playstation Portable 4-player mahjong game featuring The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya-chan characters. Surprisingly, the game also has a plot: it goes something like Haruhi uses her powers to force everyone to play mahjong with her, hilarity ensues. The game will feature voice work from the anime cast and will come with a package of goodies including an exclusive Haruhi Petit nendoroid if you buy the special edition. Prices are 6279 yen for regular edition and 9429 yen for special edition with figure. Tentative release date is March 31st in Japan.

    Leave it to the Japanese to make a mahjong game, give it a storyline, then charge $76 for it. Without the Nendoroid.
