The full list of guests coming to the 2010 New York Anime Festival (NYAF) has been released. As mentioned in a previous post, Yuki Nagato’s seiyuu Minori Chihara will be attending this year, but fans of the English dubs will be glad to know that Crispin Freeman (Kyon’s voice), Stephanie Sheh (Mikuru’s voice), and Christina Vee (Haruhi in the ASOS Brigade) will also be attending. The NYAF occurs from October 8 – 10, 2010. NYAF’s Exhibition Hall is open to pros on Friday from 10 AM to 1 PM and then the full public the rest of the weekend, Friday from 1 PM to 7 PM, Saturday from 10 AM to 7 PM, and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. Please note that the Exhibition Hall closes at 7:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, but panels, screenings, and special events will continue until 10:00 PM. If you plan on attending, check their website for panel times and locations.

I hate the dubbed voices. I like it with subtitles. I like the original Japanese audio, because I feel like that is how the original anime was intended not to be dubbed over. What do others think?

Just because you hate dub doesn’t mean everyone else has too. I personally love the dub for Haruhi. I have watched A LOT of anime for the past 5 years and so far Haruhi dub is one of the most decent dubs out there compared to the other dubs.

As for the expo, I have to say, it’s always great to see Haruhi get more and more exposure, especially in the west

About the English dub: I *LOVE* the dub! Very rarely do find a good one and I’m so glad I’ve come across this one! Most of the time the actors over-act or sound too old/young for their characters. But in TMoHS, they did a wonderful job choosing their actors! *thumbs-up!*
