Hi Haruhi fans, don’t know what to listen on your ipods/mp3 players this summer vacation? Well then, we have some treats for you. Recently, we’ve been sent a lot of news tips and links to Haruhi Suzumiya radio dramas and fan audio book projects, so we thought it’d be cool to throw everything together in a single post and let you decide what to listen to first

First up is an audio book project that we’ve reported on in the past. The Audiobooks of Haruhi Suzumiya is led by Krennthief and has an official project thread right on our forums. The project is essentially an English reading of the Haruhi Suzumiya light novels with voice talent provided by your fellow Haruhi fans. If interested, visit the project’s blog and download the prologue today.

Next is another Haruhi Suzumiya audio book project that has shown up on our radar recently. This one is called the The ‘Genderbending of Haruhi Suzmiya‘ and is a collaborative fan project by Emerald Park Productions. The project is also an English reading of the light novels but nlike the latter audio book project, this one attempts to reconstruct the series as if Haruhi was a boy, Kyon was a girl, and everyone else’s genders have also been turned topsy-turvy. Kyonko fans especially, give this audio book a try. Check out the project discussion thread in our forums or you can download the entire first volume of the project (prologue and chapters 1-5) here.

Lastly, for those who are fluent/semi-fluent in Japanese, we have downloads for 8 volumes of the official Haruhi Suzumiya SOS-Dan Radio Drama CDs (source: ffshrine.org). Each file also comes with soundtracks, so there’s something for you even if you don’t understand the dialogue.

I think that this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nf6iScKvFPs is a part of the Haruhi Suzumiya SOS-dan radio drama and it has English subs.

@ Tchi we are rerecording the prologue so it sounds a litrtle better of that’s what you are talking about.
