Looks like East Coast Haruhi fans will finally get their wish fulfilled and then some. Bandai is having a screening of the film “The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya” at the New York Anime Fest (October 8-10) and the film will be introduced by none other than Yuki Nagato’s voice actress, Minori Chihara. On top of introducing the movie, it looks like she will be performing a concert, doing some panel sessions and signing autographs.

MinoriChihara_Artist_Pic02 New York Anime Festival and Bandai Entertainment have announced on Thursday that voice actress and singer Minori Chihara will attend the October 8-10 event in New York City. Chihara is best known for playing Yuki Nagato in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime series in 2006 and its various spinoffs, including this year’s film The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. Chihara will perform a concert on October 9 and introduce a screening of The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya at the convention.

Screw Yu-Gi-Oh Nationals, I’d much rather go to see the movie! I mean, Disappearance, the movie I’ve been dying to see (Not enough to watch the terrible camrip) AND a concert! That beats getting tossed around by net-deckers any day of the millennium!

I really don’t care about Minori’s signature. She just voice acts, what about all of those (probably) underpaid animators actually bringing it to life? It seems the hardest/most tedious jobs are the ones that don’t get you appreciated.
