Well, it was only a matter of time. A camrip version of the Haruhi Suzumiya movie only became available about a week ago, but there’s already have a subbed version out. You can thank the guys at Mazui Fansubs for getting one out so quickly. The video quality is still bad but Mazui did a good job of cleaning it up and now at least you can understand the dialogue. For those who just can’t wait for the official DVDs, torrent link is here.
I’m quite amazed that there’s a camrip already. I wasn’t expecting to see anything until the DVD comes out.
That said, I’m not going to watch it since I don’t want to spoil it in bad quality. Still props to the subbers!
It’s really tempting. I mean I have watched a lot of camrips over the years. But with Haruhi it’s quite a difficult decision to make.

man Mazui has made a miracle with this camrip. The flickering is almost gone is even watchable.
That’s awesome that they were able to remove the flickering. Wish I had know this sub would come along before I watched the raw camera rip. Oh well, I’ll just watch it again =P

I downloaded the torrent, but the quality has improved. However, there are no subs…. u SURE MIGHT WANNA change the post title to somethin like “Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya Camrip HIGHER Quality” ^^; lol
try download codecs. http://www.codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_mega.htm to view subtitles..
Or if you are using Windows Media Player go to Play> Lyrics, Captions, and Subtitles> then select “on if Available” that should do it..
It doesn’t work for me on my windows media player. It says its not supported.. How else can i view this?
If it doesn’t work for Media Player, try installing K-Lite codec pack http://www.codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_mega.htm or VLC media player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
As for the torrent, you need a bittorrent program to download it… try utorrent http://www.utorrent.com/
download codec and install…(just follow my previous link) this way windows media player can play it…
But I’m using DivX Player to view it.
ooh, ok it does work on WMM, but it still doesn’t have subtitles even when I did what you said Haruhi-mon. Btw I found a script on the website with all the lines on… So if you’re really desperate watch it with the script on the side xD
Download K-Lite codec pack and install everything from it to watch in proper quality and with subs. It contains a player called “media player classic”
Downloading the torrent, can’t wait to see how it worked out.
If all else fails, use VLC =P
If you cannot see the subs:
1.) Use vlc-media player
2.) If you are using CCCP codex then you need to go to settings and select Autoload VSFilter

I gotta say most movies in general don’t hold my attention. Few movies that I watch makes me want to watch it again. This is a great movie as I expected. Even the lq camrip didn’t affect the movie for me.

Hello people. i just wanted to say that i just watched The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi Camrip Fansubs and it was GREAT! also the quality was not bad at all. if you want to wait for the dvd you can but the camrip is not bad at all.

This is weird… may media player classic can’t play any videos anymore since I used it to play the movie but the weird thing is, my Windows Media Player(which cant play any anime at all) can now play all my animes w/o any codec needed… can any of you guys give me a reason to it?? T_T

To be honest, the torrent link I downloaded still had the same flickering problems, in addition to the screen being tilted. Did I download the wrong version?
Would I be able to watch this one without have seeing the others and still understand the story? :s
um can you guys upload the video to the other website exept torrent? like megaupload or mediafire cuz my modem can’t download torrent even using Utorrent. thanx
