Day of Sagittarius III for the iPhone

19 February 2010 10 Comments

It’s a little late, but an entrepreneurial Haruhi fan has made a working version of the Day of Sagittarius III game as an App for Apple’s iPhone. As most will recall, Day of Sagittarius was a game made by the Computer Research Society to challenge Haruhi and the SOS Brigade in the episode of the same name from the first season of Haruhi Suzumiya. The objective is to maneuver your fleet of starships around the map to destroy the enemy fleet. The game is priced at $2 at the Apple Apps Store. One user review says “You’ll enjoy it for about 2 minutes, form a fond memory, and then move on to other things.” We haven’t tried it ourselves, but expect it to be as mildly entertaining as the original game it was based off of. By the way, this isn’t the first time someone tried to recreate the Day of SagittariusĀ game in real life.

They don’t have enough iphones in Korea to start having internet on those things. Nobody sees the point of having one if they have a regular phone anyway.

Looks fun, but $2 isn’t worth 2 minutes of playtime.
I’ll just stick to the flash game, even though I do have an iPod Touch.
