Episode 14. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya VI

Haruhi Suzumiya appears to get more moody lately, Kyon thinks it’s just one of Haruhi’s sudden mood swings. But after he goes to bed that night, he suddenly awakens to Haruhi’s voice. Kyon is back at school, but only Haruhi is with him. Kyon quickly recognizes that they’re inside closed space. Koizumi manages to contact Kyon using his powers and explains to him Haruhi has finally become bored of the current world. She has unconsciously decided to destroy everything except herself and Kyon, and then remake it into a completely new world. Haruhi is really excited when the blue giants appear and begin demolishing everything around her. Kyon runs away with Haruhi and wonders how he could stop all this when he suddenly remembers Mikuru’s hint (episode 10)

Trivia:
- At the start of the episode, Kyon refers to Mikuru as “toki wo kakeru shoujo” – “the girl who leapt through time” which is the title of a movie produced by Kadokawa about a girl who can travel to the past.
