I don’t think any other dance has been emulated at cons and cosplayer conventions as much as Haruhi Suzumiya’s Hare Hare Yukai dance. The original version which was featured during the ending credits of the first season anime was so viral that the producers included a full version dance as a bonus on the last DVD of the series.

You know a series is top quality stuff, when the producers spend the time to lay out the choreography for something that will only be seen in the ending credits. I found these sketches on the official Japanese Haruhi anime site a while ago. That’s a lot of work for a 1 minutes and 10 seconds clip.

I can watch this video a millions times and still not get bored of it. However, watching cosplayers performing the dance will always be a little unnerving, LOL.

On the other hand, a live performance of Hare Hare Yukai by Aya Hirano (Haruhi), Chihara Minori (Yuki), Yuko Goto (Mikuru), Tomokazu Sugita (Kyon) and Daisuke Ono (Koizumi) is pure WIN.
