The Perplexity of Haruhi Suzumiya PS2 Game (Suzumiya Haruhi no Tomadoi)

24 July 2008 3 Comments

The Perplexity of Haruhi Suzumiya is the first PlayStation 2 game released for the franchise. The gameplay is a mix of things varying from visual novel (game CGs accompanied by dialogue or text. See some CGs from the game), to a simple fantasy RPG, to a “princess maker“-type game. If you’ve got an affinity for the Japanese language, then head over to the official site. Here’s some stuff I grabbed from the site and digging around with google.jp

There currently isn’t any plans on porting this game overseas in a translated version. Though, if you’re ready hardcore about Haruhi Suzumiya games, then you can pick up a copy at stores like PlayAsia. There’s also a good lot of them on eBay, if you’re looking to score a good deal (imported games tend to be a tad more expensive).

Posable Haruhi figure with comes with the limited edition of Suzumiya Haruhi no Tomadoi

There are two versions to the game, the limited addition contains a special Haruhi figure wearing the armored outfit you saw in the video. There’s also an official fan book available for the game.. you know, just to squeeze those extra dollars out of the fans :)

Suzumiya Haruhi no Tomadoi gameplay with Haruhi:

This one with Nagato is even funnier:
